Custom Painting Your Alloy Wheels

Custom painting your alloy wheels might just be all that’s left to finish off your custom painted car. Or, it might be a great place to start for a sports or prestige car, even your hot hatch.

A simple alloy wheel refurbishment to restore your existing alloy wheels is a great alternative to buying a new set of wheels.

You could have something simple, a single colour for the whole alloy wheel, or a two tone effect having the inside of the wheels painted in a contrasting colour to the standard silver for the outside. Have your spokes painted in a colour matching the car body colour and have the outer wheel rim polished or painted another colour.

Satin Black center striped spokes painted over a  medium flake aluminium paint with tinted blue pearl lacquer painted onto 20” Alloy Wheels.

Two Tone Chrome Custom Painted BMW Wheels

These BMW wheels custom painted two tone wheels. The customer originally wanted the wheels painted in a two tone standard silver where the chrome is now and anthracite as you can see exactly as in the photo. For all the effort we would be going into to create the two tone effect we suggested he might as well go for a chrome finish. He agreed and was very pleased with the results.

The chrome finish in these wheels is a relatively toned down effect as he didn’t want a full on chrome finish, You can have these with just a single coat of the chrome product to create a highly effective coloured chrome effect using any colour. Or, go to the other extreme of having up to 12 coats of the paint to create a full on chrome effect.
